Faith healing?

I have been reading and hearing news about Father Suarez lately. For those who are not familiar with him, he is a Filipino healing priest. He started his healing sessions when he was still in Canada. He lives there most of time and he only visits the Philippines. The past few days, there have been many issues coming out because he 'deliberately' held his healing sessions without the permission of the bishop of the province where he had his healing mass. Because of that, he is now being questioned not only because of his gift of healing but for being  a 'hard-headed' priest. There was also other issues regarding the donations that he is receiving from people who he was able to cure.

I attended his healing mass once. It was held in Megamall sometime last year, 2007. I was lucky because we were able to catch up with the healing session which was incorporated with the mass. I would say that he speaks well and he can really touch your heart. While he was speaking, I felt that there was this energy coming from my head, going down to my tummy area. I can also feel that my tears were silently flowing down my cheeks. Then he ended the session and continued with the mass. There was no touching session (this is the healing session proper) that happened after the mass because he was getting ready to go to Baguio that night. After the mass, I still felt the same but inside me I knew that I was touched. Not by Fr. Suarez' healing but with the Holy Spirit.

So what I am trying to say here is that when you hear the word faith healing, it shouldn't depend on who healed you but rather it is more on what healed you. God is an invincible being and because of faith, we are able to believe in him. He doesn't need to come out in front of us just to make us believe. Knowing that he exist is already enough because that is our faith. Fr. Suarez is merely an instrument of God. He makes way for God, just like what John the Baptist did for Jesus. He heals because the people who go to him believes that they will be treated, that God is making them well through the priest and not the other way round.

Can Fr. Suarez really heal the sick or is he a hoax? I can not answer that. I don't even know if I was already healed when we attended his mass but I know that I'll be better when God wants me to feel better.
